Pactola Reservoir appears to be just like any other lake, but this one has a secret. Found at the bottom of the lake are remains of an old, gold mining town, Camp Crook. The camp was founded by fugitive miners in 1875 seeking the gold in the Black Hills. According to the Fort Laramie Treaty mining was illegal in the area. General George R. Crook was sent to look for the miners and chase them from the area.

In the miners’ haste to escape, someone forgot to empty the bank's vault. The vault remains untouched deep at the bottom of Pactola. Can you drain the lake of all its water to make the gold easier to retrieve?
